A week in the Eastern Sierra Range...Cottonwood Lakes

Last week, I took my daughter to her first Sierra experience.  Many weeks were spent planning for this trip.  I received a lot of suggestions from my friends and in the end, we decided to head to Cottonwood Lakes.  Cottonwood Lakes seemed like a good introductory trip for kids...elevation gain was manageable but acclimation is key.  The trailhead from Horseshoe Meadow starts at around 10,000 feet...a night at elevation...
