Last week, I took my daughter to her first Sierra experience. Many weeks were spent planning for this trip. I received a lot of suggestions from my friends and in the end, we decided to head to Cottonwood Lakes.
Cottonwood Lakes seemed like a good introductory trip for kids...elevation gain was manageable but acclimation is key. The trailhead from Horseshoe Meadow starts at around 10,000 feet...a night at elevation proved useful as my daughter had no issues acclimating to the height.
This report will be a little different and instead of words, I want to show you instead a video that highlights our trip. I hope you enjoy....
Hike your own hike and see you on the trails...
